| Malpighia Punicifolia (Acerola) Fruit Extract | Acerola is a native of the Mexican Yucatan peninsula. Its red, cherry-like fruits are very rich in Vitamin C. Extracts of acerola are used for their antioxidant, skin-protecting and fortifying properties. |
| ALCOHOL (Ethanol) |
| Alcohol | This alcohol is obtained by fermenting organically grown wheat. It helps eliminate the need for synthetic preservatives. In the preparation of aqueous-alcoholic WALA essences it enhances the dissolving power of the water. It tones and firms the skin. The amounts of alcohol used in the Dr.Hauschka products are regulated to prevent the skin drying out. |

| AMBER |
| Amber Powder | The name amber derives from ambergris, which is actually an oily, perfumed substance secreted by the sperm whale. This was often washed up on beaches on which amber was also found, causing some confusion. Amber is in fact fossil resin from prehistoric coniferous trees. In Germanic languages it is called 'burn-stone' (e.g. German Bernstein), because if heated it will soften and eventually burn. The Latin name for amber, succinum, means gum-stone and gives us the adjective succinic. |

| Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil | Argan oil is a nutritious oil from the seeds of the argan tree (Argania) which grows only in Morocco. Argan trees prevent the spread of the Sahara desert in Morocco. Careful harvesting of the nuts with a view to sustainability protects tree stocks. The oil cares for the skin and lends a sheen to lipsticks. |

| Arnica Montana Flower Extract | Arnica belongs to the Compositae family and has sunny yellow flowers. It has wound-healing, disinfecting and anti-inflammatory properties, supports skin regeneration and has a soothing action.
